IRS Notice 2021-21 (Federal Income & HSA Extension)

The IRS recently released Notice 2021-21, outlining the following:

1. The due date for Federal income tax returns has been postponed to May 17, 2021.
2. The postponement of the due date for filing Federal income tax returns automatically extends the deadline for making 2020 contributions to health savings accounts (HSAs) to May 17, 2021.
3. The due date for filing and furnishing Form 5498SA is now June 30, 2021.
