It's Flu Season, Protect Yourself!

Getting a flu vaccine is more important than ever this year to protect yourself, your family, and those around you from the flu.

Flu shots are designed to protect your body against the most common strands and viruses in the upcoming flu season. Within a few weeks of receiving the shot, these vaccines help your body develop antibodies to help fight the virus that you may encounter.

The flu vaccine this season can also help reduce the burden on our healthcare systems responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and save medical resources for care of COVID-19 patients. Now, before Flu Season is in full swing, is a great time to get a flu vaccine!

Who Should get a Flu shot?

Annual flu shots are highly recommended for:

  • anyone at least 6 months of age and older
  • those with chronic medical conditions
  • pregnant women
  • anyone 65 years and older
